Why are you killing plants so you can eat them?
March 7th, 2010 at 12:08 pm
You’re right about the pesticides. They are responsible for killing off the bacteria which synthesizes B12 in our bodies. B12 supplements are a good idea…
The amount of land required to grow meat far exceeds the amount of land required to grow enough vegetables to sustain us.
But the best reason to become a vegetarian is a religious one. In the beginning, God gave us all the seed bearing fruit as MEAT. Shame how that word has been twisted over the years…

Mate a lot of veggies are women, and you’re suggesting they might be wrong. Are you really surprised that you’re stuck in an argument that you can’t objectively win?!

my metabolic type? what is that, we have different types of metabolic efficiencies?

one of these days ill walk into a vegan restaurant and eat a huge ass burger in front of everyone.. cause seriously meat is essential for your body and it contains some nutrients that your body depends on. I practically eat meat everyday and I feel fine… and I also eat veggies, so I get all the nutrients my body needs. so ha ha to you vegans out there

I don’t distinguish between a human and a cow – a life is a life.
Lucky for everyone I am a veggie.
I think i would eat ethically obtained human meat if I was offered it – something like banking executive or beef farmer flesh YUM!

people should read THE CHINA STUDY
enough said, the most comprehensive study done on nutrition
March 7th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
wheres the book? Sounds interesting?

agree, I say increase fruit and vegetable production, decrease meat production and eat meat as the animals die of natural causes. Humas have a funny way of adapting to their surroundings and would get by just fine without daily meat consumption.

Very specious arguments you present. We DO have to give our bodies back to the earth and we WILL be eaten. That is the circle of life. You cannot have peace without suffering. Factory farms are cruel, but the way the native americans lived and ate is part of a circle. They ate meat with reverence. “Take only what you need”. It’s mainly white capitalist that created what you see today.

It’s called instinct and its there so we can make educated assumptions without having to plug in some man made instrument which aparently detects whether a plant is scarred or not. No question about it that vegetarian is the way to go. I say if u just have to have meet in your diet then you should be out hunting it yourself and you should donate your body to the circle of life once you pass on. Specieism is completly unfair.

its about being fair to the animals. you walk up to a pig and a stick a knife in its belly you hear that pig squeel in pain. You know instantly that its suffering and what your doing is wrong. You go walking through the bush and step on a couple plants and crush them you hear no squeel and are not instantly aware that you are causing serious harm to the plant. It doesnt take a highly professional scientist with state of the art equipment to tell when a chicken or a cow is suffering.

I dont think one can grow crops in africa. Antelope’s live there. Thats good meat
March 7th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
eating less meat isnt going to change any thing. you must buy organic meats. listen to sean he knows what he is talking about
March 7th, 2010 at 6:44 pm
you are wrong. carnivores are leaner because they dont eat any carbs period. Because if you eat an all fat all protein diet you body starts to use fat as engery reulting in burn fat for enegry in the process. why dont you try an all fat and portein diet for 2 weeks. you will receive headaches at first but then your body gets use to it. I am not saying thats carbs are bad. I just think people dont realize the importance of fats. Fats hold energy for 6 hours. carbs hold lyou energy for 1 and 1/2

You are wise to be making healthier meat choices. If you are serious about wanting to understand why it is better for your health to eat less meat, then you MUST read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. We could all improve our health and our environment if we took the time to learn what the meat, dairy, pharma, and chemical industries are doing to our food, and our world.. You don’t have to be a veg to make a difference.

@fuss400. I had heard that carnivores have shorter digestive systems so that the meat they consume is disposed so quickly that most of its fat content is not absorbed. This is what allows them to consume so much meat while staying lean. We, on the other hand, have small intestines that are about twenty-three feet in length alone. So you see, you can’t always assume that because something is true for one animal, it can be applied to another animal.

Well, people originated from Africa where it’s warm all year round. Humans would not need to eat meat there because plants would be growing all year.
March 7th, 2010 at 8:25 pm
Sean.. your in a more positive mood cuz you eat protein!!.. all the vegetarians and Protein defficient.. hense the bad mood..
March 7th, 2010 at 8:53 pm
@Beanmaster73 Very well said. Vegetarians/vegans treat meat eaters like you and I like s***t and try to make us feel guilty for eating meat. Well guess what PETA? I don’t feel guilty! So there!
March 7th, 2010 at 8:54 pm
this is how i know vegetarians are assholes: A Vegan can go into most restaurants and modify the menu in order to make their meal vegan. Can a meat eater go into a vegan restaurant and order something with meat protein in it? No they can’t- we bend over backwards in the service industry for these vegans- but do vegans in the service industry do the same for meat eaters- no they dont- they’re hypocrite assholes.
March 7th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
sure if you want to ignore science and listen to some holistic alternative health quack on youtube.
You obviously have no idea about health as i see you’ve asked further done where i get my protein. It just doesnt get more ignorant than that.

I totally agree with the fact that most vegetarians are “anti-meat” and lack on the “pro-veg” part. Personally I am a pescaterian, but it is for religious reasons. I also eat organic, but thats just the way I was raised. I also agree with you on the plants “know whats up”. Great informational vid! thanks!

Vegetarianism doesn’t benefit people its a control mechanism. That was used to control the Hindus thousands of years ago.
