You have to wean them off old food slowly and mix new into old for awhile.
References :
Anytime you switch a dog from one food to another, if not done properly, can, and will result in vomiting and/or diarrhea. You should always take approximately one week to switch your dog. Starting with the old food and mixing in just a bit of the new, each day adding more new and less old. That way, the dog gets used to the food a little at a time.

If you did not do this, and the new food is richer, then yes, she would be sick from it. Best thing to do, is not feed her for 24 hours, then start her off on her old food, and the next day mix in a little of the new, and each day make the ratio of new to old higher than the day before. Within the week, she should be switched with no further troubles.

**I would say, however, that if she does not get better quickly you should call your veterinarian**
References :
Did you do the "food switch"?

For the first week, do 25% new food, 75% old food.
For the next two weeks, do 50% new food, 50% old food.
For the fourth week, do 75% new food, 25% old food.

After that, MOST dogs are able to eat a new food without vomiting or diarrhea.

Many dogs can't take an abrupt change in food, especially from one so high in carbs to one so high in protein. If the change was abrupt, my bet is that the vomiting and/or diarrhea is totally because her system was just overwhelmed.

If you changed the food slowly, it's possible that the Wellness, (which is very high in protein) has a higher fat percentage than the Kirkland. IF that is true, she could have pancreatitis - which is just irritation of the pancreas often caused by too much fat.
References :
Did you make the change very gradual - over 10 - 14 days? If not, that would be the reason.

But if you made a gradual change, perhaps your beagle just doesn't tolerate Wellness for whatever reason. I tried switching my greyhounds to it a couple of years ago (and I did it very slowly) and none of them tolerated it. So I changed them to Innova and they did great on that one. Some dogs just don't do well on a particular food even if it's a good one. You might need to try something else.
References :
Did you switch her directly from the old food to the new? You should never do that. You have to gradually mix them together and wean her off the old food or she will have problems like this.
