@paxbelly Oh, of course. Because I don’t agree with you must mean I’m uneducated, right?
The difference between harmful chemicals and unharmful chemicals in food is that natural chemicals do not have synthesized, extracted, or processed chemicals. Any and all chemicals in food belong in our body and are beneficial (i.e. carbohydrates, sugars, proteins and vitamins)

sorry but you obviously hav never had even a high school chemistry class. i just want you to know that anything made of atoms is made of chemicals. all matter in the universe. chemically altering means changing the molecular structure. if you are eating natural sugar then only the plant that it was taken from chemically altered the sugar. i dont know more than doctors. i just dont lie like this guy.

I don’t care if this comment is 6 months old. You are a moron and egotistical to think you know more than doctors. Everything is NOT made of chemicals and yes sugar is chemically altered.
January 24th, 2010 at 4:26 pm
You are both a moron and hideously misinformed.

Sweeteners are addictive! Bankers who fund food industry businesses know this, and they just couldn’t care less how they make a profit, so long as their investments make more profits.
Bankers control most education systems, including public education, since they fund all phases of schools, from the buildings and properties on to every student’s classroom supplies, and store-bought materials. Do bankers want students taught that foods they also control manufacture of are poisonous?!!
NOT!

Diesel, by Rudolf Diesel, at the World Expo in 1908. A hundred fricken years to use technology, now old technology. AND bio-diesel is still only going to be incorporated into a hybrid engine, still using petrol and using more food. dumb

The reason that people use HFCS is because its cheap and tastes fantastic. Shit may be bad for you but many Americans can not afford to go to health food stores and buy the healthy stuff. Also it takes for ever for it to go bad. You know table sugar will not go bad unless it gets wet?
January 24th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Don’t forget about Crystalline Fructose as well.
January 24th, 2010 at 8:08 pm
buy Muir Glenn Ketchup. Good Stuff.
Just read labels. Best way to avoid that shit. BTW, my preferred sweeteners are Raw and unprocessed Honey, Organic Agave, and Xylitol which is sold by NOW Foods.

You people are worried about a product that is not even worth worrying about.
why dont you worry about real toxins like sodium benzoate which occurs in apples and cranberries among other things and is believed to be metabolized into benzene in the body.
it’s in juice and many carbonated beverages.
Or how about aluminum or aspartame or the phytoestrogens in everything we eat due to soy and hormone fed livestock.
Fail.

periodic table of elements is ELEMENTS!

Buy Organic Ketchup at Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s and you’ll avoid the high fructose corn syrup.
January 24th, 2010 at 10:35 pm
reading labels is the way to go. Some of the fruit juice companies are making products with no hfcs or sugars all together. Cooking and eating at home is much healthier. I am learning it a hard way
. I hope to break the addiction i have to sugars n hfcs.

Keep an eye out for Glucose Syrup and Glucose-Fructose Syrup. These are substitute names for High-Fructose Corn Syrup. Large food producers are attempting to fool the public by swapping out the names. The more we do our homework the better prepared we will be to counter act these deceptive tactics.
