Do you think that Black Seed Oil can be used as a treatment for HIV/AIDS?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

I AM SORRY THAT THIS IS LONG, BUT PLEASE READ

I am currently doing research about Black Seeds. It is also known as Black Coriander or Black Caraway seeds. It is know that Black Seeds can cure/treat many medical ailments.

Well in my Biology class, we were learning about adaptation, and an example is the AIDS virus. When ever this one perosn took the medication, it seemed that somehow the virus would adapt to it. Well since I have heard of Black Seed, and I have done some research, I was wondering if it can treat HIV/AIDS. I know that it may not completley cure it, or that you need to take this for a while to see results, i was just wondering about the possibilities.

Based on this info, what do you think? Any comments will be accepted. It would help me if you cite your information (if you can).

-Black seed unquestionably has a positive and stabilizing effect on the human immune system which . Moreover, since diseases are the result of defective immune systems, it is fair to assume that the beneficial effects go beyond skin disorders and allergies. Since the immune system has a direct or indirect effect on all the systems of the body, when you are infected by any disease, the power of the immunity system affects the cure of this disease.

-Black seed is a safe and effective herb that can be used by almost anyone. No irritations or side effects are caused when the right dose is correctly applied. Its benefits are obtained through consistent use,the effects are medium to long term. Diabetes is useful in the treatment of diabetes mellitus or diabetes caused by an allergy. However it is recommended that the treatment be supervises because Black seed does lower blood sugar levels. Black seed should not be taken by pregnant women if their wombs are sensitive

-Mahfouz and El-Dakhakhny, prominent Egyptian researchers isolated the active principle nigellone from Black Seed’s essential oil in 1959. There are over 100 different chemical components in the seed.

Nigella and melatin are two ingredients in Black Seed that contribute greatly to its highly diversified powers. These substances work together to provide the digestive benefits that have been revered in Black Seed. They also promote cleansing and assist with overall eliminating action.

Two of the most volatile oils found in Black seed are nigellone and thymoquinone which were fist discovered in the herb in 1985. Nigellone offers both anti-spasmodic and bronchodilating properties which contribute to Black Seed’s potency against respiratory ailments. It also acts as an antihistamine which helps to reduce the negative symptoms of allergy sufferers. Thymoquinone contains excellent anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is also a strong anti-oxidant and helps cleanse the body of toxins. Both nigellone and thymoquinone work in conjunction with one another to enhance Black Seed’s action against respiratory ailments. It also provides a healthy alternative to the more commonly prescribed cortisone based therapies used by allergy sufferers.

Black seed provides a rich supply of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These ingredients play a key role in daily health and Wellness. They help to regulate the metabolism, carry toxins to the skin’s surface for elimination, balance insulin levels, regulate cholesterol, improve body circulation, and promote healthy liver function. A deficiency in polyunsaturated fatty acids can lead to a wide number of health problems including nervous system disorders, uninhibited growths, and skin diseases.

Black seed contains over 100 valuable nutrients. It is comprised of approximately 21% protein, 38% carbohydrates, and 35% plant fats and oils. The active ingredients of black seed are nigellone, thymoquinone, and fixed oils. Black seed also contains significant proportions of protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids. Other ingredients include linoleic acid, oleic acid, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin B2, niacin, and vitamin C.

A 1994 study conducted in London by King’s College revealed that Black Seed has properties that inhibit certain enzymes, which also inhibit the production of certain prostaglandins. This is more proof that the rich and complex combination of elements found in Black Seed work together for a total effect.

Black Seed has over 1400 years history of use. Many ancient books and text suggest the following traditional uses for Black Seed. But please note, that these should not be understood as cures or treatments for any disease or illness.
Now this is only some of the research that I have done. I have not actually done some testing or anything, I am just in High School. Right now, I am in the stage of gathering information.

What’s the active ingredient?
Can it be synthesized or purified on a large scale?
What’s the target?
What’s the mechanism of action?
What’s the effectiveness compared to current treatments?

These are the questions that must be answered before it can be used to treat anything.

There’s a reason medicine doesn’t just use things like this. Until you know what molecule is doing what you don’t know about any possible cross-reactions, toxicity issues, and most importantly you can’t quantify everything since the amount of active ingredient isn’t controlled.

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

I own a Wellness office and am putting together an online Health and Wellness Magazine for customers and whoever else wants to read it.

What would you want to read about?
What would interest you?

Simple recipes that dont have a huge list of ingredience that you cannot find in your normal store. Also I enjoy learning what different foods do in your body, and how things break down. I would like to see more of that and also, you could have normal ppl trying out different vitamins for a few months and then giving there reviews. Im using New Chapter organic Womens one daily Vitamins and there whole product line is so great! Maybe list some websites where you can get good deals on vitamins like…. WWW. transformyourhealth.com. Have fun.

Friskies Shredded Wet is there an alternative?

Posted on November 23rd, 2009 by admin

Okay first let me say I KNOW this food sucks. Please read all the situation before answering I need a specif requirement for VERY picky dry addict.

I’ve been trying to switch my dry food addicted cat (FEMALE 1.5 YRS OLD) to wet for 2 months now. I’ve tried buying the good stuff Wellness and Blue Buffalo canned and she just refused anything wet. She also doesn’t like soft treats, ONLY hard. So I’ve tried chunk & pate, and all the various flavors (chicken, beef, turkey, fish). She refuses them all! I’ve wasted god knows how much money on all these cans, that’s not the issue really. I just figured she would never eat wet food. I’ve tried too many different HQ brands, flavors, and style to even count anymore. She also wont touch real tuna either.

So the other night I was opening a can of veggies for dinner and she heard the pop top. OMG she came in and Meow’d at me. I looked at her like WTF you can’t be serious. I picked her up and showed her she can’t eat veggies LOL, but it got me thinking maybe it was the Pop. Maybe now she’s ready after all this trial and error. I ran to the dollar store on a whim and bought this shit food for 50 cents LOL. This is the first and only time she’d even try it. It was SHREDDED chicken and salmon in GRAVY. This flavor I’ve offered B4 but nothing. The only difference is it’s SHREDDED and GRAVY is all I can figure. Of course she licked all the gravy until it was dry and then I mixed in her dry. Well now it’s been 2 days in a row and she’s still eating 1/2 a can a day. I’m happy but it’s not quality food:( Now I need to find a food that meets to needs SHREDDED or GRAVY. I feed her Wellness Indoor Health as her dry because of quality. On occasion I have tried Blue Buffalo Spa Select Indoor when I can’t make it to Petco for Wellness. I also provide her w/ a water fountain so her water intake is OK. I also read not to mix wet and dry and make sure whatever is left isn’t wet when I throw her dry in the bowl. I do however make her eat 1/2 the can a day. I can only feed her the wet first thing in the morning when her bowl is empty from the day before. So far it’s been working and tomorrow will be day 3.

So I do a google search for shredded wet cat food and low and behold nothing but Purina brand crap:(

The question is:

Does anyone feed their cat a higher quality wet food that is SHREDDED style? I need something that is SHREDDED style that I can feed her and trick her into eating better wet. Or maybe a HQ wet that comes in a GRAVY I’d even opt for that and see if I can trick her? Please I just would love to find a HQ wet that she’ll eat even if it cost me $1 a can. I don’t care about that! I just can’t afford to waste $6 on food she wont eat anymore. I’ve been down that road LOL. Thanks for any advice and food suggestions that include SHREDDED or GRAVY.
these are good options. I have read it can take some dry addicts more then a year even. It’s been two months of trial and error so this small step is at least boosting my hopes I can slowly break her. She’s still young and I’m worried about her health long term I read this section a lot and read all the horror stories about UTI and kidney problems. I just want her on wet. Thanks and I’ll be working at her pace and being patient I just wish it was as easy as snapping my finger LOL. I will also look into all the recommended food from Susan and Lgbud and I usually buy the tiny cans cause so far she wont eat any but this junk Friskies.

Have you tried AvoDerm Select Cuts? They only come in 3 flavors and 2 are fish based but they are chunky. Also, Merrick’s is chunky. You can also buy plain gravy at the pet stores and pour a little over the food. Or how about continuing feeding Friskies and very slowly mixing in higher quality cans of chunky. Then when she gets used to the high quality chunky, very slowly mix in the pate as most canned foods are pate style. As you probably know, some cats may take 1 hour and some may take up to 1 year to be completely switched over to a new food. You have to be as persistent as the cat. Don’t give up and good luck!

"If you were to paten an invention.. and it made a ton of money.. would you ..see below please?

"If you were to paten an invention.. and it made a ton of money.. would you ..see below please?
If you were to patten a product that sold and made millions or more… Which would you do.. and why>? "Would you become a best selling author (Of Thrillers/Sci Fi type) If you were getting actual visions on them that you keep journaling? Or.. would you invest the money to open A Wellness Spa Retreat.. that would also be a Bed and Breakfast for just 2-3 night stays? Or both and why/why not? Thanks…

I would do neither of those things. I had already made my mark on the world and I would retire to a private island and get my monthly royalty check. Sure, I would continue to enrich my mind, but I wouldn’t write books or open a B&B. I would write songs however, not for profit, just for the fun of it. I guess you could write books or open a B&B if that’s your idea of fun.

Now that AMA & AARP have reviewed & approved the House HC Reform Bill-will it pass Senate?

Posted on November 12th, 2009 by admin

AMA Supports House Bills to Make Health Reform a Reality

H.R. 3962 and H.R. 3961 would go a long way toward making the health system better for patients and physicians

HOUSTON, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The American Medical Association (AMA) today announced support for concurrent passage of H.R. 3962 and H.R. 3961, U.S. House of Representatives health system reform bills.

(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20081209/AMALOGO)

"The time to make health system reform a reality is now," said J. James Rohack, AMA president. "These two bills were introduced together, and they need to be passed together. Both are essential to achieving meaningful health system reform this year."

"On balance, H.R. 3962, The Affordable Health Care for America Act, is
consistent with our principles of pluralism, freedom of choice, freedom of physician practice and universal access. It will significantly expand health insurance coverage to Americans to empower patient and physician decision making; institute meaningful insurance market reforms; make substantial investments in quality; institute prevention and Wellness initiatives; provide incentives to states that adopt certificate of merit and/or early offer liability reforms, and reduce administrative burdens."

"H.R. 3962 is not the perfect bill, and we will continue to advocate for
changes, but it goes a long way toward expanding access to high-quality affordable health coverage for all Americans, and it would make the system better for patients and physicians," Dr. Rohack said. "This is not the last step but the next step toward health system reform. We will remain actively engaged with patients, physicians, Congress and the administration to ensure that the final bill results in marked improvements to our health system."

http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS219747+05-Nov-2009+PRN20091105

The AMA and AARP are organizations who have decided to speak on behalf of all their members without actually contacting every one of them to ask if they are on board with the health care plan. That AARP is on board with it is particularly galling as $400million has been cut from Medicare – the very program utilized by senior citizens. Nothing like getting deep sixed by an organization that is supposed to represent their members. As to AMA, we can only assume that those doctors who so willingly wore the white coats at the photo op / propaganda White House event were part of their membership. That the bill now makes its way to the Senate is meaningless. Discussion will be acrimonious and very lengthy, and if passed the bill will look nothing like the version sent to them. Only time will tell.

What is the difference between Health And Wellness?

Posted on November 12th, 2009 by admin

This is my homework for Health class, lol think you can help me out?

Wellness – 1. the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, esp. as the result of deliberate effort.
2. an approach to health-care that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing treating diseases.

Health- soundness of body or mind; freedom from disease or ailment: to have one’s health; to lose one’s health.

So looks to me the difference is that Wellness is a successful conscious effort to be healthy, and health is just the state of being free from disease.

Pondering: How does this grab you about the healing power of friendships?

Posted on November 10th, 2009 by admin

Todays alert from the "old people" website I subscribe to:

"Experts say that maintaining friendships, both new and old, is an essential part of emotional Wellness. Luckily, it’s never too late to reconnect with old pals or form entirely new friendships."

People on the same medications: Those with chatty friendships healed 25% faster than "loners"

— I thought it was interesting that they mentioned "chatting" – which is illegal on Yahoo Answers.

I partially agree.. I am a chatty happy go lucky person and usually heal quite well.

Some friends are not worth reconnecting with when all they do is bring you down, lie, or downgrade you… it’s not worth the stress!

((((((Unkie)))))))

It’s almost the weekend! You know what that means right? lol

Cinn =)

Yeah yahoo and their no chatting policy hmmm maybe they are trying to make us sick, I know it was making me sick getting violation after violation.
